This is a good machine. Only issue I have with it is when you choose auto fill, sometimes it does not fill up enough to cover all the clothes completely, even after it continues filling after a few minutes of washing. ALSO, a couple times I pushed the pause button, then pushed it again to start washing, took about 4 times of touching the
black area to get it started again

I bought the Speed Queen based on its reputation and I wanted to upgrade from what I had before. I like that they offered a more simplistic one rather than Wi-Fi capabilities. I like the options that it auto fills based on the capacity and it's very quiet compared to the other machine I have. Absolutely love it.

I have just started using my new washer and it works just fine. I bought this machine on the recommendation of a service technician who came to repair my not so old other washing machine. It appears to be a simple and rugged machine that I hope will provide me with many years of service.

I usually don't review until I have used the product for 6 months to 1 year. However, I will this time. The washing machine works very well. Necessary functions that eliminate complications with that comes with computerized screen and choices. Most of all washes and spins well. The only negative issue that got me irritated as it took 3 weeks from purchase to resolving was that the drum of the washer was defective. An expert certified Speed Queen technician took care of assessing, confirming and fixing the problem which made me very happy.

So far, after a month of washing, it has done great! I can put as many clothes in the washer as I put in my old Maytag, and they come out quicker and cleaner. I will be well satisfied if it continues to perform like it is performing now. My washer repairman told me to get a Speed Queen if I never wanted to see him again. I looked at reviews, and am glad I did! I hope it outlives any washing machine I've had so far.

We had purchased another brand and after 18 months were not satisfied with the way the clothes were getting clean. We purchased the speed queen and it is so much better, clothes are cleaner, never get out of balance which the other one did constantly. This is also much quieter and better built.

This machine is durable, runs quietly except when switching gears, gets clothes clean, handles surprisingly large loads, simple to use, has a long warranty that automatically comes with the purchase, FILLS TO THE TOP!!. Lost first one in a flood. This is my second one, exact same model. Love it.

Somewhat disappointed as rust has formed in the tub of the washer. It was a spot and I thought it was dirt. I usually wipe out my washer after a load of laundry.
If I could go back and re do the purchase, I wouldn't purchase this washer. Also, it doesn't wash as well as my old washer.The clothes do not get clean.

Bought TR5 washer&dryer 1 month ago. HATE IT! I'd give anything to have my ~30 year old Maytag back. VERY POOR lint filtration in dryer. Lint accumulates all around seal on door and behind "screen" on lower part of door, see pic. Filter inside dryer drum INADEQUATE. Lint forms in crevices around the installed filter. Must use tweezers to remove. I clean my filter each cycle and still LINT accumates in places it shouldn't-even when installed filter isn't full. Hence clothes have excessive lint. Felt-like gasket at back of dryer drum is torn, see pic. You have to SLAM the dryer door closed which makes a loud enough noise to wake someone sleeping. Now the washer .... you have to "trick" the settings to get a separate rinse & spin. You have to select an "extra rinse" wash cycle even though you aren't running a wash cycle, then select the "spin" option to get a rinse&spin. Some genius engineering/programming!! There is no lint filter in the washer so the design is to have water flow push the lint DOWN YOUR DRAIN. Clogged pipes anyone?? On my old Maytag there was often a LOT of lint caught in the washer lint filter. Now that lint is clogging my drains. Now, let's discuss water levels. I bought this duo because I wanted to control my own water levels. You do get a choice of small or large load BUT and I quote from manual "small accomodates 1-2 permanent press dress shirts OR 2 pillowcases OR 1 lightweight dress"! No choice between small & large and large fills water level to top OF TUB. I have tried the "autofill" options with a variety of clothing, sheets, towels and often found items were not even wet at end of cycle. You are advised NOT TO WASH anything that is "puffy", eg, pillows, comforters, jackets,etc.regardless of size. Although multiple sales persons said I could wash king size, the manual states specifically NOT to. Can you believe after spending Over $3000 I have to go to the laundermat? Now for what I hope is the last straw, you cannot wash anything that has cooking oil on it for fear of FIRE because their wash cycles MIGHT NOT REMOVE ALL THE OIL!!!!. SEE PIC for warning from manual. I want my money back!#$%$#@@!!

Washing machine was less than 4 months old when it began to make a very repetitive loud noise. This after we were told how quiet the machine would be when we made our purchase decision to replace our LG front loader of only 9 years for a similar issue. Very frustrating to have purchased a $1,409 product and have to call in a warranty claim in less than 4 months.

I have only owned this Speed Queen washing machine for a few months. So far so good. It is easy to use, cleans the clothes nicely and is quiet. To be honest the Speed Queen brand was not our first choice. However based on the space limitations in our laundry room and the salespersons recommendations I am glad that we chose a Speed Queen. I like that the machine is manufactured in Wisconsin as well.

While it has some redeeming features, I can't understand why my clothes come out so so wet. If I had a wringer, I know water could be removed from things. This is affecting the time spent in the dryer also

The Speed Queen washing machine is well made and comes with rave reviews from techs that repair washers. My only issue is with using softener, I use softener according to directions and still get blue on my clothes after the wash. I believe it may be due to water not coming into the machine well because I have a well.
