Think that the quality of the Speed Queen washer is great, but it appears that we purchased the incorrect model TR5. what we did not learn from the salesperson was that the agitation settings from Delicate to Heavy Duty only dictates the amount of time (20 - 48 minutes) for that load and not the amount of effort that the agitator tumbled the cloths. It appears that we should have gotten the TC5 model.

Bought this about a month ago. Did a lot of research prior to buying because of the high price tag. I'm happy with it. I will say it did go off balance when I washed a king sized quilt. But I was told that it was too big of an item to wash in this machine and since I have queen size bedding it's not an issue. The tub is quite solid. It doesn't move side to side so easily like the cheaper machines. It's pure quality and so quick. It used to take me ALL DAY to do laundry….every load would go off balance no matter how big or small. This has honestly been a pleasure. I hope it lasts as long as they claim it will…time will tell.

Thank you for the opportunity to express my feelings about SPEED QUEEN TR5006WN. I just purchased my Speed Queen a few weeks ago. I have had No problems so far. But I did not think I would. The reason is... I have owned a Speed Queen since the year 2000. Never had a problem until a spring broke and had it repaired. That is 26 years never had a problem. I just thought it was time to get a New Speed Queen. With this type of repair record, I do not want any other washer. I look forward to another 26 years!... That is how Good Speed Queen is. I was told this when I purchased the first one, and the sales person was 100% right. I would recommend a Speed Queen to anyone who is looking for the Best washer.

When it works it does a great job at cleaning clothes. However, I've had my washer maybe 6 months…not even had it a year and I've had to submit for my warranty to come out and fix it twice now. The second time submitting has been the hardest as it's been several days (more than the 3-5 buisness days they said it should take) and I haven't heard anything back still. I done a reset myself now and it seems to be working but we will see how long that lasts? And what good is a warranty if you're still having to spend money at a laundry mat?

Appears to be well made. Love the stainless steel tub. We appreciate the fact that the machines are made in the USA. We did not want an all digital control panel, and we found that with this machine.

So far, I am loving our new Speed Queen washing machine! Wish I had purchased it a long time ago. We had a Maytag for over 40+ years and never had a problem with it. When we moved and had to purchase a new washer, we tried Maytag again; however, the quality is no longer there. It overflowed twice (and had to replace our floors) and I could not put very many items into the machine.
So, needless to say...I now LOVE my Speed Queen. No worries and it has been a wonderful product!

We purchased the Speed queen brand with the hope that American engineering and build quality will afford us long and reliable service even though we had to pay considerably more. We have found that the clothes seem to be cleaner. Our only disappointment has been the washer, though mounted on antivibration pads, will become unbalanced in spin cycle and will move.

Spent a lot of money on this machine hoping it was as good as advertised, but ran into a totally frustrating problem with lint on clothes after washing. I researched and learned that I had to sort completely differently than for my old machine. Couldn't do just lights and darks ... had to do shedders (man-made materials) and cotton. I turned clothes inside out and still got awful lint streaks on lights and darks. More research and I finally found that the problem may be caused by the fact that this machine does not have a lint filter. I thought all machines had one. Wish I had known this earlier because it has been totally frustrating to have to learn a new way to do laundry! I would happily go back to a machine that has a filter rather than have to sort the way I now do .. and to do more loads of laundry than before because this is horrible for me because I live in a drought-stricken area. On a more positive note, I have found that things are better using the Permanent Press cycle.

I like the quality of the product. I gave 4 stars because 1) there isn't a separate soak cycle that is needed before washing. I prefer washing in clean water. 2) The liquid fabric softener only works on the Heavy Duty cycle and even then I find it leaked in the bottom of the machine after removing the heavy load. I learned this after a service call.

I absolutely love my Speed Queen washer and dryer. The washer is level, drum is in balance, spins all sizes of clothing without drama and the clothing is much cleaner. The tub does not rust and it is quiet!!! The dryer gets clothes dry the first time.
Since 2019 I have purchased 4 washers and dryers, They were all junk. Will never buy from a Big Box Store again. I HIGHLY recommend Speed Queen and have told everyone how satisfied I am with your product. Thanks for being made in the USA!

The AUTO FILL does not not add enough water to even COMPLETELY cover washing items..1st..this doe NOT allow enough rinse water to thoroughly remove detergent. 2nd. I have been informed to use washing/ rinsing water at least 2 or 3 inches above the washing
items to save wear / tear on machine & to RINSE COMPLETELY. I think this Auto Fill design is not a beneficial feature..as I now use JUST large setting..17 gallons for a wash..17 gallons for rinse..total 34 gallons no matter size of wash load...as ONLY OTHER SETTING IS ..SMALL..NOT enough water ..NO selection of Medium.
I am considering purchasing additional warranty to protect my huge cost/ investment.
Time will tell if Speed Queen lives up to the reputation of past. Or will my TR5 Speed Queen. Have .. Speedy ..technical issues after the Standard 5 yr warranty Expires??
I Do hope that my details ..review reaches the right level to consider alternative changes to future models

This agitator-style washing machine is a throwback (in a good way) to the ones we grew up with back in the day. No digital displays, no electronic touch-style buttons, no confusing choices of cycles, times, etc., just simple dials to select wash water temperature, water level, and cycle. That being said, the "normal" cycle is paired with a spray rinse which doesn't seem to remove the detergent too well. Even the salesperson told me not to use that cycle. So, it's either Permanent Press or Heavy Duty to choose from when doing what would seem to be a "normal" load.
The machine is quiet, efficient, and doesn't take forever to finish a cycle. And the spin cycle does a great job of removing the water. As mentioned by other customers, there is no dispenser for detergent. I knew this going into the purchase of this model, but it makes no sense why Speed Queen would design it like that. Other than that, I'm happy with the machine and feel it will last a long time.

Old 33 yearold Kenmore finally died. So started looking at CR and customer reviews. We were not ready for a feontloader and wanted less "electronics" if you will. So se settled on the speed queen. it stilll had traditional knobs and easy to use and a decent warranty as well as good reviews. Very happy so far.

Purchased to replace a speed queen washer, only about 10 years old , but dryer needed to be replaced. Great quality and agitation is very quiet but does make other noises and spin drain is very loud, not a big issue. Start, pause button is black on a black panel very hard to see will need to paint a white dot on it. All said and done great quality and made in America so parts and service are easily available if needed.. highly recommended

This machine has been noting but trouble. It's needed repairs twice and is only 3 1/2 years old. First was a complete replacement of the control board and now it's just inoperable with a full tank of water and clothing. Regret that I didn't go with a different machine. My last was a GE and it lasted 7 years with no repairs.

I have been a Maytag customer for 46 years. The last one I bought started having trouble 2 months after I bought it. Had it serviced and only lasted for 2 years. I told my husband never again and we were going to bite the bullet and by a speed queen. I have been very pleased with my purchase
