A break from the usual "smart junk". We wanted a washing machine that could wash clothes without having to constantly monitor its progress.
All we need is a washing machine to wash our clothes. I don't need one to order pizza, email the service department, or text me when it's done. Just wash my clothes.
This one seems to be it. We're well pleased to this point with the functionality and quality.

Does not seem to clean as well as my old machine from 2006, also the digital controls are finicky, often showing an error code requiring a complete shutdown and restart. I'm not happy with the door lid locking mechanism.

This is by far the best washer I have ever owned. Well made, simple to operate and my clothes have never been cleaner. I had a 4 year old machine with a so many different cycles it was crazy and it had been repaired 4 times already.This washer has just the cycles I need, doing laundry isn't rocket science. Despite having seen the pricing I visited the Preferred Appliance store on Trolley Rd. to check out the Speed Queen washer. The salesperson (Danielle) did a great job assuaging my price concerns with quality build and the two primary users in my household love the machine. I;ll buy the dryer when it's time.

Very basic, no fancy un-needed options. Easy to operate. Very quite, no vibrations when in spin mode. Clothes, blankets, towels and linens come out squeaky clean. I wish I would have bought one years ago. Price tag is high, but now I understand why, and it's worth it for the long run. My Maytag only lasted 7 years and was a nightmare to operate. Had to watch it during spin mode, was very unstable. Speed Queen keep up the good work, no need to cut corners to make a profit like the other washer machine companies have done over the years.

The speed queen washer came to us new out of the box. I had to wait to find a service technician to come to our location. I had 2 different service technicians out and had to pay $50 ea time they came. The second one found the issue with the lid lock that one of the wires in the wiring harness was not completely connected to the circuit it was just hanging. It took him 2 1/2 hrs to find it as it wasn't a normal issue. It is working fine now but I was without a washer for over 1 week after it was delivered.

Returned to the absolute best machines. Speed Queen had been our choice but when we moved they stayed behind and at the new location there was a setup there. Brand new so of course we used them.
Now proud owners of the washer dryer which have always been dependable! There was no question of the purchase.

Replaced both my washer/dryer from 1998. Washer was starting to leak so it was definitely time to replace. Replaced dryer that was still working as well to match the washer. My new washer/dryer are very quiet and easy to operate. Both will definitely outlast me (lol) and my old ones didn't owe me a "cent".

Simple and effective. Perfect wash every time. Love the consistency. Yeah, it's expensive, but I'm tired of replacing the washer every 5-7 years. These are built strong. I don't need a wifi machine with a million cycles. It's got the essentials and it does what it does very well.

I abolutely love my Speed Queen washer and dryer. They're durable and easy to use. I set them on the Eco settings and they quietly do the work. They are not bulky machines as they fit in my wash room perfectly. They are true to all of the reviews I have read.

Love that the tub fills! Thought I read that it is best to use liquid detergent in the manual but now I can't find that 🙄
Clothes look cleaner 🤩 When I use fabric softener the dispenser does not fully empty?? On the spin cycle does it also rinse? Have to check the manual on that.

My Speed Queen washer has been great so far. Recommended by our appliance repair friend as a good (few issues) washer. I definitely enjoy how quiet it is,but have to admit that there is a short amount of time where it seems louder than I expected. I believe it happens when the spin cycle speeds up. Seems to get or clothes clean, but we are a retired couple who don't have dirt or grass stains to deal with. Would recommend buying one.

I've owned a Speed Queen washer in the past and am so happy to own one once again. My only issue is the auto lock mechanism which our dealer explained is required by law. It's quiet and easy to run as well as keep clean. Thank you!

After 25 years with our prior washing machine, we needed a replacement for a family of four. We love the washing machine! It is easy to use an our teenage children have no problem washing their own laundry. It is quiet, so we can start a load at night and the clothes are ready to dry in the morning. We are impressed with how the spin cycle works. It cuts down on the dry time in our dryer. I highly recommend this machine!

Don't let the "small capacity" fool you. I washed my california king quilt in it and it fit FINE and it dried in less than 40 minutes with the matching dryer. Clothes have never been cleaner. Will never NOT have a SQ! They are amazing!

Washing machine works great! When it stopped working, speed queen first tried to repair over the phone. They then stated it was the top. It wasn't locking. They sent someone out within 3 days. It was fixed at no charge to me. Great service!!!
