Honestly, I had to replace my Whirlpool after it was less than 2 years old because it literally died and the customer service was awful. I took the loss and bought a Speed Queen from my research, best decision I ever made! I absolutely love my new Speed Queen washing machine! Couldn't be happier!

Our recently purchased Speed Queen TR5 replaced a beloved, twenty-five year old motor-driven Sears Kenmore washer-a workhorse-with a 4.6 cu ft basin. I live in a remote, rural location and was limited by the actual space available for the machine.
I chose the Speed Queen for its nice, clean and simple design. I like that it doesn't have a lot of digital control boards to go bad later. At 25-inches wide, it fit width-wise to into a small space, due in part to its 3.2 cu-ft wash basin. I love the machine, with the exception of the smaller washtub basin, but that is why it fit into the space. The small tub is limiting when it comes to washing CalKing spreads, flannel sheets and flannel duvet covers. It is too small to do a set of CalKing flannel sheets at the same time, so now I go to the local laundromat for the bigger items. The was basin is solid and not all bouncy like the new motor driven models. Admittedly, I might still be babying the Speed Queen more than necessary, as it also cost $2200, installed, including the removal of the old machine. Other than that, which I expected and knew beforehand, it does a nice, quiet job of washing. The Speed Queen instruction manual actually provides best practices on how to do a load of wash with best results. So far so good. All in all, the TR5 a nice, simple design with minimal digital gadgetry that does a quiet, effective job of washing.

Quiet and self leveling. Never goes off balance therefore ringing a blanket out wonderfully. Was the main reason I purchased. Previous machine, my blankets were so saturated with water, I couldn't lift them out of the machine.

Ditched a fancy touchscreen Samsung front loader for the OG top loader SQ. The Samsung front seal ripped before year 3, and the bearings were destroyed right at the 5 year mark. Connection issues with the dryer, power supply errors, wifi issues, software updates, just a complete joke. The SQ is incredible. We use half the detergent and the clothes come out much cleaner because extra water works apparently. Also, our wash cycle times have gone from over an hour while the Samsung slaps the clothes in a puddle of water and takes breaks to rest the clothes mid cycle to 35 minutes with the SQ having the clothes submerged in soapy water. Half the soap, half the time, much cleaner. I'll die before I buy anything else. Speed Queen for life.

I have owned this machine a month, but I really like the efficient performance of this washer. It washes the clothes really clean without the unnecessary fussy technology that has plagued recent clothes washers. I really enjoy the extra rinse to insure all the detergent is out, & you can a drop a sock or 2 in the wash cycle as it's running (as long as it's not spinning). I am very happy with this recent purchase.

I have been using a very noisy front loader for years- finally it died, and I went looking for something Quiet and efficient. The Speed Queen is both. It does a great job on laundry and does not jump all over the room and sound like a jet taking off. We love it. I am a Speed Queen fan for life- so happy quality washers are still made!

After killing Maytags, GE's, and Whirlpools, replacing them every 2-4 years I believe I have found the perfect solution. SPEED QUEEN. This is an awesome machine, built like a tank, and makes almost zero noise. Love this machine. Can't wait for my dryer to die so I can get a matching set of Speed Queens.

Saved for a long time to get a Speed Queen Washer. The spin cycle doesnt work properly. Clothes still very wet at end of cycle. Had svc and was told it was unbalanced and that he fixed it but problem remains the same.

Machine cleans clothes better than old machine. Laundry room is just off of kitchen, we do not hear it running, it is very quiet. Spin cycle does a fantastic job of removing excess water from clothes, so dryer time is shorter.

I have had previous Speed Queens and been extremely happy with the performance. I just purchased a another one for my other home. The washing cycles performed very well but I was surprised that the spin cycle left the clothes more wet than my previous Speed Queen requiring more time in the dryer.

Not quite sure yet. I will say wish it had the automatic detergent dispenser plus I don't like having only 1 option for fabric softener. In addition the spin cycle when using the extra rinse the clothes are too wet so have to do another spin or two. Will also say it's not ultra quiet. I'm afraid my water and electric bills will be much higher.

I hadn't purchased a new washer in years. I've bought used ones or had a washer from a loved one who passed. After spending 4-5 weekends troubleshooting, ordering parts and repairing the last one I decided it's time to purchase a new one. I looked at the big box store brands, almost bought one with all the fancy new features that sounded amazing. Then I started really reading up on the reviews and they were horrible right from the time they were delivered. I just wanted a simple machine that worked. I had heard great things about speed queen from several friends so I stopped at a local appliance store one afternoon, bought one and haven't been disappointed. Our only issue in our old house with slightly uneven floors is that the machine walked when spinning. We simply mounted two small pieces of trim wood to the floor and now it can't walk and twist anymore. This machine is a beast, cleans great, it's quiet and fast!

We bought this because we were told by everybody, stores and appliance repair people, that this was the best of the best. Plus it came with a 5 year warranty instead of 1 or 2. It's a great machine and does a good job, but the locking mechanism broke after only 2 years. Kind of disappointed about that. Under warrantee so didn't have to pay, but still disheartening that something went wrong so soon

Spent top dollar on a SpeedQueen washing machine expecting a top of the line machine. Instead the first load of clothes came out damaged and destroyed due to a manufacturer error in the washing drum. Despite using the machine once, SQ refused to replace the machine and would only repair the brand new but unusable washing machine. Getting the repair situated through SQ has been a massive hassle with no empathy and minimal urgency. It's been over a month and the machine still isn't fixed. Massively disappointed in SQ product and will not recommend.

I have had 4 front loaders in the past 30 years. Everytime I had to call a service professional they alway would recommend a Speed Queen. I finally listens and so glad I did. I have been using for 2 months now and love it. It cleans very well and is quiet. One reason I resisted was because of out of balance loads with top loaders. I previously had a top loading "HE" machine with no agitator. It took an hour to finish a very noisy cycle on its best day.
The Speed Queen is quiet and efficient and finishes a cycle within 30 minutes, even with two rinses.
