Machine works well. Issue I am having is machine squeaks while running. It squeaks when running full or empty. Seems to work well, just louder than anticipated due to loud squeak.

I asked the retailer what the absolute best Washer/Dryer they sold that would last as long as my Maytag Neptune (22 years). They highly recommended the Speed Queen. They said they never see these in for repairs. I've read the testing & reviews of this product and I think this will the the last Washer/Dryer we'll ever have to buy. We've had this for a month or so, and so far so good. I like the extra options we didn't have on our Maytag.

I was shocked by the price. I bought it still. Glad I did. I bought it at 40 years old. If it dies with the next 20 years and I don't die... Then I am spending more and getting the front loader and dryer pair next time!! Worth it. I run one to 4 loads a day and really I have had my set for 3 years and they are flawless as the day I got them.

I purchased Speed Queen's top-of-the-line DR7 dryer on 7/19/26, and within just two weeks it damaged a brand-new quilt by leaving long black marks on it, even on the low-temp setting. A technician determined the cause was the metal vent cover in the back of the dryer, and noted that black residue came off on his hand when he checked it. He also said he has never seen this issue before. Although Speed Queen is sending a replacement part, this should not happen on a premium appliance, and it raises serious concerns about quality control. I am beyond disappointed with the lack of a sense of urgency and customer care.

I cannot say enough good things about this washer/dryer, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I especially truly appreciate that ITS MADE HERE IN AMERICA! WOW, how wonderful, & a FANTASTIC PRODUCT!
The cycles, temps, control panel, are all EXACTLY PERFECT! The sturdy, solid metal construction body and lid feel so solid and well built! It's the best washer dryer I've ever owned in my life (I'm 65). With a 7 yr warranty I think they know they're selling a winner. My clothes are cleaner I swear, there's a reason laundromats use SPEED QUEEN, they last. Totally obsessed doing laundry now.

Thus far it is the best machine I've ever used. The craftsmanship is awesome and it works like a well earned good dream. They are quiet, efficient and easy to use once the instructions have been read and referenced for various loads of wash. All around great machine made here in the USA. I'd encourage people to buy this American companies machines if in need of a washer and/or dryer.

I really like this dryer. However, I can't see using any heat level above low, as the medium heat is really hot. It is taking a bit to get used to the smaller load sizes as my previous W/D set was an LG extra large load set. I'm tired of getting a new set every 10 years, and expect this one to last a long time.

Dries clothes well. The only problem is the drum flattens out and the dryer makes a knocking noise when it frost starts drying. It's stops after a minute.

This set is just simple. This is the style I grew up with, top loading. Clothes are far cleaner and I no longer have issues with suds or spinning during the rinse cycle You do get what you pay for! Seven years of parts AND labor is a no brainer I had purchased a unit from a big box store, and bought the warranty. The company denied service and instead gave me a prorated refund on the contract. Will never do that again. The only thing I do miss is an internet connection to monitor when done, but that is a 0 on a list of 10 as to why I'm so glad to have moved to a quality American-made product!

Love my new DR7 dryer. Since I had to replace my beloved 36 year old Direct Drive washer (got the TR7 washer), I knew it was time to get a new dryer, as our laundry room is prominent and I want the units to match :) The DR7 dryer is SO quiet, fast and everything is dry, smooth and as wrinkle free as possible. I read so many reviews about how loud the DR7 is in the beginning and the sensor cycles leave things moist, but I have none of this. One dry cycle...dry and perfect. Build quality is really nice, love the drum light and the lint trap is so easy to clean. Thank you Speed Queen!

Works very well with the exception of the rollers. They clunk loudly when the dryer is started. Wish they had a permanent fix for this problem. This is my second dryer with this problem. They did warranty and replace the first. They really stand by their warranty.

Dryer takes long to dry I don't like to push up/down button to decrease dry time. why in the world would dryer drum be made of substandard metal My Maytag's interior better but I expect long term survival should be best with Speedqueen.

The dryer drum corroded after less than a year. I told Speed Queen and was told to contact AJ Madison where I purchased the product. It's been a fight for almost a year! I use dryer maybe 4x/month. I was told issue was due to wet clothes being left in dryer, then dryer isn't under warranty as the issue is "cosmetic", It's a commercial machine! A+ Appliance came and both guys told me it was corrosion. Then I get an e-mail saying it isn't and they want $700++.
I bought this product based upon what you promote as "we build better machines, develop smarter technologies and provide unmatched customer support", engineering and what you describe as "We have always taken the lead in providing the industry's best warranties. Today, that means three-, five-, and seven-year warranties. You buy Speed Queen for peace of mind and performance. We want to make sure you feel comfortable and supported for the long haul." NO, YOU DON'T! This is false advertising!
You pass off issues to 3rd party vendors who count on customers getting tired of fighting for support of original and promoted warranties.

I haven't had a chance to fully test my new dryer yet, but it's been a breeze to use and works well for various tasks. The "sanitizing" and "pet item" settings are particularly helpful. Plus, the "steam boost" setting has really taken care of those pesky wrinkles on blouses. It feels like this dryer is built to last, just like my Speed Queen washer, and the warranty is a nice bonus!

From its first use my dryer, which was extremely expensive, didn't work properly. I notified Speed Queen but didn't receive a response from them. I asked the retailer to exchange it for a like Speed Queen and got the runaround. I finally had it repaired. (It needed a new UI board.) At this point it seems to be working. Both the dryer and the retailer have been a huge disappointment. In retrospect my old GE Profile, which I thought was mediocre at best, doesn't seem so bad.

I believe my old Whirlpool dryer would be my forever dryer, but then it wouldn't fit through the door of our brand new house on moving day. The universe was conspiring in my favor as the only full sized machine that'd fit was the ONE machine I wanted. THIS ONE. So, on moving day (my birthday!) here I am in the appliance store buying this dryer. Now every day I do laundry I feel like I've died and gone to laundry heaven because this machine dries a heavy load of towels in ONE cycle! ONE. My old Whirlpool (with the new heating element I just put in) always took two or even three cycles to get towels dry. I really appreciate the many options to customize any drying cycle, including heat levels and being able to choose HOW dry you want your load. Fully drying takes a bit more time of course, but the sensor is spot on. When the big load of towels comes to an end, it's really and truly DRY. The filter is easy to access and clean, too. LOVE this dryer.

We purchased this dryer less than a month ago to match our SQ washer we got six months ago AND LOVE. This thing SUCKS. It squeaks every single cycle. No, it is not rubbing on anything. It is the cheap plastic bearings the drum rotates on. How do I know this? We've had a certified repair person out TWICE in a month to fix it.
We were told "You can't stop a dryer mid-cycle. It warps the bearings the drum rolls on." Okay, fine. I'm not a repair technician, I just have 40 years of experience using dryers. I have NEVER heard this before, nor have I ever owned a dryer that broke because it was opened mid-cycle. I know stuff was built better in the 80s and 90s, but SQ is supposed to harken back to the quality of those days. Sorry, this sucks.
The 2nd time the technician came out they said the plastic bearings are supplied by a new supplier and the component is weaker. "Speed Queen knows about this" they said. So, to save money, you got a new supplier to provide a crappier part that requires a dryer to cool down or the crap plastic part will warp. Sorry, any family with young kids will struggle with this (because kids are going to open dryers like kids have always done for all time).
I hated our old dryer, but it was multiple tiers better than this thing.

I purchased the dryer (and the matching washer) because my old gas Samsung dryer had stopped heating and I did not want to spend several hundred dollars to repair it. I waited (whithout working dryer!) 4 days for delivery, then the unit arrived with a dent in the bottom corner. I chose to overlook that, as it would not be seen. Unfortunately, the next day I found that the unit didn't work. I was again without a dryer for almost 2 more weeks as I waited for a repair person to determine the problem (broken igniter), order the part, then come back to repair. I asked many times over that 2 week period to just replace the dryer with another one, but was refused. Now that the dryer is repaired I must be fair and confirm the dryer is quiet and drys very well. I do wish the end of cycle signal was a bit louder as you cannot hear it if you are not standing next to it.

Excellent machines! I've had 2 other top brands in the past, in a couple of years nothing but problems and cost. Speed Queen gives me piece of mind. When you do the math with a different brand and buy a 5yr extended warranty to match the Speed Queen's your about the same price for the best!
