Dry's my clothes. So quiet that I hate the fact it doesn't have an end-of-cycle buzzer. I will just have to set an alarm and hope I get it at the time it's through.

I love the fact that it is made in the USA. I purchased this in September 2021, I really do like the dryer, but the last few times I have used it on the permanent press cycle, it gets stuck on less dry and will just keep running. A little disappointed with that.

Wanted a dryer that was made in the USA. This brand was the one. Works great! Only thing that could make it better is an end of cycle alarm, so clothes don't lay in dryer and wrinkle.

It's a lemon and been discontinued, rep tried to convince me they would replace and even gave me new model no TR-7. They stopped communication and never replied to emails as of Jan 13th. Washer is leaking a solution all over floor and ruining grout, having removed to prevent further damage. I finally get in touch and they don't care that they dropped the ball and left me with a washer for 30 days. They now are offering a refund of $580 (paid nearly one thousand) and said I had to wait for an email tomorrow, then the paper check would be another 30 days. Disgusted with these products and the company. I will be getting rid of my washer and also the working dryer as I do not want any speed Queen products if this is how they respond to their openly defective, no longer produced, products. What a complete disappointment.

This is my second set of washers and dryers from Speed Queen. My previous purchase was outstanding with no issues. My second purchase (August 2021) hasn't been the greatest experience. Unfortunately, after only owning my dryer for 4 months, the heating element (as checked by a Speed Queen technician) broke and I have been without a dryer for a month now. The Speed Queen certified repair store has only been able to provide me that the part is backordered. At this point, I'd rather have an even exchange as the problem has still not been resolved (January 2022) and the cost of both the travel to the laundry mat and the cost to keep up with a household of six, is now well over the hundreds of dollars.

When you first turn it on it sounds like it's about to spin off it's axle. It sounds cheap. It often takes two cycles to dry if it's on the 70 minute times dry. If it's a small load it will take one cycle of 70 mins timed drying. Forget about using any of the other options. For a $1000 I expect a lot more out of it.

Replaced a 18 year old dryer with the DR3003WE dryer. It dries so much quicker, soo quiet and it is much more compact than my old dryer. I really like the inside dryer drum light too!

This is my third dryer in 6 years because everything is made like junk. I went to purchase a cheap dryer after spending thousands of dollars on the others only to have them break and be unrepairable. I was upsold and ended up purchasing this $900 dryer - with the illusion that it was the best American made product on the market and it was built to last, like the Maytags of yesteryear. After 4 weeks of use the button that the door hits as it closes stopped working. This was during Christmas week so we were without a dryer for 7 days, with a house of 6 adults. The warranty was good but we would have had to wait til January 6th to have someone come out - that was 2 and a half weeks away. Thankfully the people we purchased this dryer from chose to send their repairman so we didn't have to wait. It was a fight of course - beings that the products are supposed to be fixed by the warranty company. I still think all washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc., are made to break. I wish Americans took pride in what they manufacture and sell to their fellow Americans. Gone are the days of appliances lasting for 20 years. Now we are lucky if we get 5 years out of something before it stops working.

I bought this washer/dryer set because I wanted something simple, without all the computerized options, and my dealer touted how reliable Speed Queen machines are. I live alone and don't have a heavy laundry load. Imagine my disappointment when, 2 months after the 3 year warranty expired, my washer stopped working. It seems the lid-lock sensor failed and so it won't let the water in. As for the dryer, it works fine, so far, but it's very loud. I was 67 years old when I bought my Speed Queens and, based on the advertised 25 year life span, I thought that these machines might outlive me. Now, at 70, I don't have much hope for that, and I regret letting that dealer talk me into this purchase.

I am disappointed that the machine does not have a buzzer when drying is completed. Was told that the model I purchased was comparable to my last speed queen purchased in 2008 for half the price I paid for this new model. I can't believe a "done" buzzer dies not exist

My local dealer sold me a TR3 a few months ago and put in an order for a DR3 that he said would take a few months to come in. Unfortunately, during that time Speed Queen informed dealers that they were going to quit making the DR3 and DR5 dryers temporarily. There was talk online that they may be discontinued. So I was upset that I'd been sold a washing machine with no way to purchase the matching dryer. That definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I searched around online and finally found one that I could have shipped to me. I honestly think I got one of the last ones in the country.
As for the machine itself, it works fine. Would prefer it if the lint trap was removable, but I can live with it as-is. It also rattled a little bit--I had to wedge a folded up piece of cardboard in the right spot to make it quiet. My main complaint, however, is that there is no buzzer to tell me when the dryer is finished. This is SUCH a basic feature that it never occurred to me to check to see if it had one. I've since researched it and found out the reasoning, but it is still a disappointment. The fact that I bought this washer/dryer to last 25 years means I'll be doing without this very basic feature that EVERY dryer I've owned during my life has had.
Nevertheless, it seems like a good product as long as it is as durable as it claims to be. I've only had it a few weeks, but so far so good. I'm more impressed with the washing machine than I am with the dryer so far.

I am a repeat customer. I bought my first set of machines in 2009. They are still running today. I bought a new set of machines in 2021 for my new home. Overall the machines are solidly built. The machines work well. The washer is super quiet. I am not a fan of some of the upgrades made to the newer models. For the washer, I do not like the electronic control. There is no way to advance or return to a different part of a wash cycle. For example, if you miss the rinse cycle, you miss it. There is no way to return to the rinse cycle. The Normal Eco cycle does not clean clothes well. I prefer the water to continue to fill the tub while the lid is open so as to dilute laundry detergent, bleach, and fabric softener in running water. For the dryer, I would prefer some sort of audio alert (e.g buzzer) to indicate the cycle is complete.
